This is a curated market and here are the Products we think would work:
- Quality products not usually found on mass market e-commerce marketplaces such as Qoo10, Lazada, Taobao, Alibaba, Carousell etc with perhaps the exception of Etsy where all the products are handmade.
- Hand-made, handcrafted, bespoke products – Soap, Fashion, jewellery, bags, purses, toys, patchwork blankets, or other accessories
- Collectibles such as vintage products, watches, quality toys etc.
- Pre-packed food products and unique beverages (including alcoholic beverages)
- Food products such as organic honey, vegetable, fruit, snacks, nuts, olive, coconut oils etc
- Farm to consumer produce such as quality cuts of meats, etc
- Horticulture
- CNY related products / offerings
- Other products that you think may be relevant to the audience profile, but still subject to our curation.
These are the products requested for by residents after feedback
- cultural and family-oriented foods
- family oriented lifestyle products
Our recommendations
Marketing and promotion should be your primary objective for this market because:
- The response rates of residents is indeterminate at this time that we are recruiting merchants. The turnout maybe 100, 500 or 1000.
- Consumers are generally taking a longer time to make purchase decisions due to the rise of info-comm technology, which means your sales may come in later after the event.
- Because you have a captive digital audience, you should have an online way for your potential customers to reach you – Facebook, Website, Telegram, Etsy, Email, Whatsapp, QR codes to leverage the posts.
- The consumers you encounter at this market are likely to be corporate decision makers.
- You’re encouraged to make your booth attractive, and the purpose of providing the power point is so you can bring some lights to accentuate your products.
- CNY related products / offerings are welcome, but 8 Feb being post actual day CNY, you may consider using this opportunity to clear any CNY stock if any.
- For merchants selling food products, sampling is very much welcome – in fact, we think sampling is a must-have!
